Vénülő kezeimbe mély völgyeket vájt az élet,
Torzuló tükörképemen nem segítenek már könnyek,
Elhervadok lassan, mint majd a síromon sarjadt virág,
Gonosz tréfa az élettől, hogy az egész csak haldoklás…
Vénülő kezeimből hamuként peregtek el az évek,
Közben önmagamat gyilkoltam, s kerestem menedéket,
Mint a lángoló kanóc, mint egy elhazudott fohász,
Úgy tűnök el csendben, mint szélben kialvó gyertyaláng…
Vénülő kezeimmel már szorosan markolom a perceket,
Mert meghalni jön mind, aki erre a világra született,
Minden éber hajnalom, minden fáradt estém,
Csak újabb szög volt koporsóm dohos tölgyfatestén…
Vénülő kezeimet most lassan imára kulcsolom,
Mert minden egyes nappal csendesen haldoklom,
A dolgos tenyér elgyengült, megásta a maga sírját,
Megbarázdálta az élet, belevésve az évek kínját…

Life carved deep valleys in my ageing hands,
Tears no longer help my distorted reflection,
I slowly wither, as the budding flower will on my grave,
Evil joke from life that the whole thing is just dying…
Years flowed away from my ageing hands like ashes,
Meanwhile, I was killing myself and sought refuge,
Like a burning wick, like a lying prayer,
I disappear in silence, as candlelight dies out in the wind…
Tightly grabbing every minute now with my ageing hands,
Because all will die, once were born to this world,
My every waking dawn, my every tired evening is
Just another nail in the musty oak body of my coffin…
I slowly fold my ageing hands in prayer now,
Because I am dying quietly with every single day,
Once strong hands weakened by now, dug their own grave,
Rugged by life, engraving the torment of years in them…

I love Witcher's sense of aesthetic in their music. It is by far not the classic raw black metal here, but the opposite end of the spectrum, with majestic melodies, soft drums, overpowering piano and keyboard/synth, the vocals are almost in the background as a story teller, narrating the tales of witch hunt. Very calm, stylish and mournful.

Bloody hell the vocals here are absolutely majestic; supremely dynamic with loads of variance in style while maintaining a visceral brutality. The atmospheric elements are gracefully and artfully intertwined but make no mistake, this is ruthless black metal first and foremost. Band synergy is also stunning and can be felt through my speakers; everything is just so masterfully packaged together.
